Kiddie rigs
I need to get the boys onto boards and anyone who’s ever windsurfed will know that a small adult sail (even a really small wave sail) is too much of a handful for kids. So rather than risk putting them forever with kit that they won’t be able to use, I’ve invested in a kiddie rig.
There are plenty of ‘performance’ rigs for kids, but they’re expensive (£300+), so I did some home work - I knew from the past that there were some ‘value’ options out there. Fortunately my old friends at Solent Sailboards came up trumps.
Tushingham do a couple of Tiki rig packages at £150-200, which look good value if you’re looking for something to progress with. But the star buy is the Prolimit mini kids rig - I’ve got a 2m package winging its way here now, which at £99.99 was a bargain. I’ll report back in a couple of weeks.
