Cannondale Adventure 400 Hybrid - For Sale

Published by admin

My trusty Cannondale Adventure 400 hybrid, commuter and family bike, is now for sale:

cannondale-350

It’s an XL frame in excellent condition, with just a few scuffs on the forks from where it’s been on the bike rack. I’ve had good family use out of it - it carries a child-seat really well, with lots of heel clearance (we had a Rhode Gear Limo on the back) - as well as some commuting and round-town shopping trips. I’ve even done a few 10km time-trials on it.

Being a Cannondale it’s pretty timeless and the frame is a great foundation for any upgrades - the gears are twist-shift SRAM, so very easy to use. The bike is fairly standard, but I’ve added a few bits - note, the Post Moderne suspension seatpost was standard:

  • X-Lite bar ends - make for more comfort on trips.
  • Cateye computer - it’s a standard time/distance unit, but handy for telling the kids how fast they’re going.
  • Kirtland bar bag - really useful for short trips, with enough space for a wallet, keys, camera and a few snacks.
  • Blackburn rack - This is the one that came with the Rhode Gear seat, and is perfect for carrying panniers.
  • Bottlecage and pedal clips - I’ve got some double-sided (normal and SPD) pedals, if those would be better for you.

Note that the Brookes saddle (in the picture) won’t be included, but the original gel saddle will go back - that’s got a nick in the nose, but is still a very functional saddle.

The cheapest current equivalent Cannondale (without the extra bits) is just under £500, so I’d be looking for about £3oo. Give me a call on 07711 972 600 or mail pete@malmesburybikes.co.uk
